Collaborate with the Midnight Burger team to visually develop Leif, the enigmatic galactic drifter.
In my design for Leif, I wanted to go through all the different little bits of his life and how I think he's quite fashionable and attractive while also taking into account that he cant have looked too sterotypically engineer-y, as that sort of would have given it away to the others. Theres many attributes of Leifs past that is kept in his current design, like his tattoos and his piercings which he got on a whim in his younger days, but keeps as its something he has lived with for so long, why change now (and hey! he enjoys how they look) It kind of just adds to his scruffiness and recklessness.
His goggles were an invention of his own, previously probably having been glasses from his young leif days but having to reinvent them into goggles after he snapped the origional frames on accident, and thinking theyd be better at protect his eyes when doing his tinkering. The jacket and tshirt are definitely old, covered in dark patches of fabric from where hed sewn on patches or badges and taken them off and seen the ages fabric around it, holes and tears and many sewn up rips, the jackets definitely ages with him and is a little tight on him, but would have been too big for him back in the day as I can imagine thats just the style of clothes he enjoys. He probably would have gone through many sorts of cargos in his time but the sort i have given him now are definitely some form of thrifted, aged, dirty and well loved to the point they have become a comfort item for him and he never removes them. They are always filled with useless items or screws and bits of metal-- not at all safe for a workplace environment. Despite his clothes, which are meant to mirror his sort-of messy life and personality. He does like to keep himself clean and good-looking as I do believe that is just the sort of person he is.
Leif is this purpley colour to me, and I try to show this in several parts of his design.
