CREATIVE PROMPT
In the opening scene, a whimsical convergence at the base of a volcanic mountain brings together an Octo from the deep seas, a Golem from the high mountains, an Undead, and a Goblin. This vibrant gathering is punctuated by a Flames druid's spellbinding actions, enhancing the magical setting. As they gather, their unlikely alliance is highlighted by the playful banter and the magical interplay of elements—water from the Octo, earth from the Golem, ethereal whispers from the Undead, and cunning tricks from the Goblin.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Interested artists should submit a piece of visual content that captures your artistic interpretation of the introduction, which should include:
- Fully realized comic panel illustrations
- Sketches or preliminary drawings of the environment and characters
- Concept art or mood boards that convey the style and theme of the world
FINAL DELIVERABLES
The selected artist for this Co/Create will create a series of comic panels for the Introduction of Explorers 5 as is currently written (see The Painter on Royal Road for reference). The artist will collaborate with the creator of Explorers 5 to determine the nature of the content for each panel and the number of panels needed to bring the Introduction of the series to life.
HOW IT WORKS
Artists interested in this project should submit their interpretations of the initial scene as detailed in the Submission Requirements.
Submissions will be evaluated by the Explorers 5 creative team, focusing on artistic originality and alignment with the described scene.
The chosen artist will refine their artwork in collaboration with the creative team to perfect the visuals for story integration.
The final visuals will be incorporated into the Explorers 5 series, setting the visual tone for the entire story.
The artist will receive appropriate credit and recognition for their contributions to the project.
