Jemma Young is the creator and artist of the web comic “Children of Eldair.” She grew up on a small farm in Utah and has been drawing comics since she was eight. During her second year in college, she was a part of TokyoPop’s Pilot Program – which sought out new talented comic writers and artists and published them online. She did the penciling, inking, toning, and lettering for the first chapter of “Mom’s Best Friend.” In college, she also began working on Children of Eldair, making the first sixteen pages for her senior project. She enjoyed it so much that she decided to turn it into a web comic, which has since ran for over 10 years with over 600 pages of content and over 150,000 subscribers online. She also works on her fan comic “Zelda’s Lullaby” and other comic projects, in addition to finding work as a freelance illustrator, kickstarter consultant, and other cool creative projects.
