The thing that really drew me to this is the large bugs and secret underground world in need of a hero. My favorite books growing up were Gregor the Over lander. This story is similar to it (I think). Also how it plays with the chosen one trope and giving us a VERY unexpected hero. It’s the kind of story I would read, whether I’m a part of it or not.

A vision of the visuals based on the description

I’ve done a few drawings of some ideas I’ve had based off what’s in the story details. I think Greg could also be a more heavy set man as well, but I tried to make a guy who’s very unassuming and would look kind of comical as the hero of a story without him looking like a caricature.
