CREATIVE PROMPT
In The Arrival, what seems to be a catastrophic superstorm threatens the unsuspecting citizens of Cumberland Falls. Allister believes the storm is the danger they face, as he accompanies his father to Andromeda Power, for what he believes is a routine night of work. Patrick Adams, a genius engineer and scientist, knows the truth. He’s been preparing for years for the arrival of an alien energy from another galaxy. He goes against the orders of The Andromeda Project to safely land the alien craft, risking everything to avoid a regional catastrophe. But when the measures he put in place fail, said catastrophe ensues, sending Patrick and his son, Allister, on the run in hopes of survival.
The Narrator chronicles this epic sci-fi journey, with a captivating, powerful performance.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for voice talent with a talent for tone, diction, pacing, and creating suspense. The voice should capture a sense of urgency and curiosity as they tap into Allister’s headspace for the things going on the audience is not quite sure of. We want them to be on the journey with Allister as The Arrival unfolds.
To submit, please record an audition reading of the following sample dialogue in accordance with the guidelines:
NARRATOR
To the unsuspecting civilian, this is simply a storm. A storm filled with violence, empowered by the collective rage of a planet…
...but a storm nonetheless.
NARRATOR Nothing was the same after the West Coast earthquake. No disaster quite as devastating. But this new threat is more powerful, if that were even possible. It could mean the beginning of salvation...or the end of humanity.
NARRATOR Curiosity and fear burn their way through Allister's chest.
He can only choose one.
FINAL DELIVERABLES
This is an opportunity to become the Narrative voice for the entirety of THE ARRIVAL story on StoryCo. The chosen voice talent will work with the THE ARRIVAL creative team to set up a mutually agreed upon recording schedule and scope of work to get the appropriate number of lines recorded for the series.
HOW IT WORKS
Interested voice talent should submit their performance recording of the sample dialogue.
The creative team will evaluate all submissions based on the outlined factors, selecting a winning voice talent from the pool of submitters.
The winning voice talent will collaborate with the creative team to refine and finalize their performance.
As lines are recorded for the Narrator, they will be incorporated into THE ARRIVAL series.
The voice talent will be appropriately credited and recognized for their contributions as the Narrative Voice for The Arrival.
