Co/Create Winner Profile - Artist Indy Reilley
We are endlessly grateful that Indy Reilley stumbled upon THE DISCO BALL from a post from DBRIS on the ARG subreddit amidst our interactive “Prologue” experience. Intrigued, she dove deep into the lore of DBRIS by joining an active community of puzzle-solvers in our Discord, who together decoded puzzles and came up with theories to decipher the mysteries hidden within the two mysterious packages that DBRIS received at their headquarters after going public with their mission (a full recap of the prologue can be found in the video at the top of www.dbris.net).
Indy went as far as to even create her own fan art!
Indy’s journey as an artist-and as an art-contest winner- dates back to elementary school. The first art contest she ever won was for a safety poster she designed in 3rd grade. By 6th grade, she knew she already harbored legitimate aspirations of becoming a designer, leading her to pursuing a BA in Graphic Design and Media Arts (with a minor in Art History). She’s always had a strong interest in fairytales and folklore, and grew up reading the Grimm Brothers and watching Disney. Present day, on the side of her career in marketing, she doodles impossible geometric structures inspired by M.C. Escher and Oscar Reutersvärd, and also moderates the Impossible Geometry subreddit.
From her active participation in our Discord community to her consistent involvement in trying her hand at Co-Create in mediums familiar (art) and unfamiliar (voice-acting), Indy exemplifies the essence of who we aim to reach and empower with our Co-Create initiative. Indy approached her DBRIS logo-design with her unique blend of design expertise and understanding of the DBRIS lore from her active participation in the budding DBRIS community (not to mention she had a head-start due to her previous endeavors in making DBRIS fan-art). The logo she created not only reflected the era but also seamlessly integrated with the DBRIS lore, demonstrating her keen sense of both design and story.
Going forward, Indy plans to continue experimenting with creativity by playing around with other ways to tell a story that aren’t long-form fiction. She’s written a few virtual escape rooms for friends and is currently trying her hand at experimenting with writing interactive fiction.
We at StoryCo, for one, are also hopeful she submits to the many Co-Create opportunities we have on the horizon.

Looking Ahead
Indy's DBRIS wordmark logo will be used in a future storyline incorporating DBRIS lore that was crafted in part by Aaron Arm's "International Director of DBRIS Character" Co-Creation.
